Beautifully flowering strawberries in the aquaponics system. The leaves are growing very well. This indicates an abundance of nitrogen. Some leaves are yellowish while the veins are still green. This is called chlorosis. In aquaponics this is usually caused by shortage of iron. Also a high PH can cause disability of the plants to take up the iron. In this case some iron chelate was added. In aquaponics this is a common situation. Iron chelate is (often) the only additive needed in aquaponics systems.
